What happens after the harvest?

A huge part of cultivating excellent cannabis inflorescences occurs in general after they are harvested - in trimming, as well as in drying and aging. From the moment the plant leaves the substrate in which it is grown, the ratio given to it during its processing will determine how much the quality produced in it during the growth will be preserved. Based on this understanding, we have established a unique processing house within our breeding facility, which includes drying technology and aging rooms with advanced technology and professional manual trimming teams. All in order not to lose but on the contrary - to preserve and even enhance the aromas, flavors and the medical effect that accumulates in our inflorescences.

Processing without human hand contact

One of the most important parts of processing cannabis inflorescences is maintaining their integrity, and unfortunately there is no factor that harms them better than human contact. Human hands, skilled as they may be, create a moist and warm environment that encourages trichome adhesion and as a result the breakdown of flavor and aroma components from inflorescence. For this very reason we have built in our breeding facility rails, runners, conveyors and special aisles for inflorescence enclosures that make the transportation of the prepared produce in the facility an automatic operation that does not require human contact. After harvest the inflorescences are collected in a padded carrier and taken to one of these conveyors. On this conveyor belt they move to remove the unnecessary foliage or hang to dry in their entirety in one of our storage rooms equipped with special technology that transfers them to slow but very careful drying and aging.

Special drying and aging rooms

A patient and careful drying and aging process will always provide a better, tastier and higher quality inflorescence than a quick and "efficient" drying process, if one exists. While drying, the moisture trapped in the plants begins to be released into the air and with it components that dilute the special flavors trapped in each inflorescence. The speed and uniformity of the release affect the quality of its execution, and likewise the quality of inflorescence obtained at the end. At the end of the drying the plant reaches a stage where it is ready for use - but we choose to wait a little longer and put the inflorescence even for a long aging period. In terms of inflorescence, the aging process is similar to the drying process - but everything happens more slowly. Moist components in the inflorescence are released into the air while the concentration of terpenes and cannabinoids in the inflorescence becomes richer and richer. This is reflected in a more delicious and fragrant inflorescence, but most importantly - more effective. Both drying and aging processes take place inside our special storage rooms, enclosed rooms with unique green lighting and an advanced and customized air conditioning system designed to ensure ideal conditions for the ready-made inflorescences.

Professional manual trimming teams

Careful trimming or pruning of unnecessary branches and excess foliage is one of the important parts in processing and cultivating cannabis inflorescences of medical quality. Like anything really important, trimming should be done in a meticulous manner where each flower gets the care it deserves to reach the customer in a way that shows the best within it; On the one hand it preserves the trichomes and structure of the inflorescence and on the other hand it does not hold inflorescence parts that are not usable such as small stems, fan leaves or extra calyx leaves. To complete pruning of entire cannabis greenhouses, manufacturers usually opt for electric pruning using trimming machines. These machines contain a conveyor belt on which inflorescences move in a dry or wet state into a circular metal drum in which they are handled. The trimming machines are effective, but they do not provide the individual and specific care we are interested in giving each inflorescence. In addition, they damage inflorescences with a light structure. We therefore choose to operate the trimming machines only for the first stage of the process solely with genetics with a compressed structure that allows it, like the Maple Leaf. The trimming of the lighter inflorescence and the final polishing is done by our professional manual pruning team. After years of experience with inflorescences in every color, size and weight - our professional trimming team knows how to peel off all the excess parts from the inflorescence and leave in the bag only what should be there better than any machine.

In conclusion

So many of the steps that take care of shaping a quality cannabis inflorescence occur at all after harvest. From sterile processing that strives to reduce human contact to the bare minimum with the help of running rails and a combination of automatic convection and transport systems, through meticulous drying and aging traditions that cultivate true quality from every flower and flower to professional manual trimming teams that only get what you pay for; High-quality, effective medical cannabis rich in aroma and good taste.
